New FSU mission statement
10 August 2018
At its meeting in July 2018 the General Council of the Financial Services Union adopted a new mission statement for our Union.
Our Goal:
To improve the lives of people who work in financial services.
How will we achieve our goal?
By building, growing and winning.
Building:
We will build a vibrant activist organisation that provides value to members. We will constantly seek to develop the capacity of our staff and our organisation to fulfil our goal. Honest, bold and inspiring leadership will be embedded in all that we do.
Growing:
By growing our membership where we are already strong and growing in new parts of the sector, we can build the necessary power to improve the lives of those who work in financial services. We know that takes time, innovation and energy and we are committed to achieving this goal.
Winning:
Winning for our members - this involves winning better terms and conditions, promoting decency and fairness at work and building sustainable and rewarding careers in financial services. We should be proud of our achievements and loudly communicate our wins.
