Cost of Living Crisis Petition: Fuel Up. Food Costs Up. Support Must Go Up. - Animation workers

28 April 2026

Rising fuel and food prices are putting real financial strain on workers across the animation sector. The escalating costs of commuting, groceries, and everyday essentials are making it harder for many of us to make ends meet. In an industry where precarity and job security already create uncertainty; it’s time for employers to show leadership and support workers with real cost of living relief.

Animation Workers Ireland (AWI), together with the Financial Services Union (FSU), is urging employers and Animation Ireland to step up with practical, meaningful supports that reflect these growing pressures. We’re gathering signatures to ensure our collective voice is heard loud and clear.

We’re calling for measures such as reduced pressure to work from the office, travel and mileage allowances, fuel supports, vouchers, lunch allowances, and other real cost‑of‑living reliefs.
