Pay-26 negotiations - PTSB

The Pay-26 negotiations have concluded. The following ‘most significant points’ summary outlines what’s on offer for Grades A (old Level 5), B (old Level 4) and C (old Level 3) (the ‘collectively bargained’ pay categories):
- The Bank’s budget, negotiated with the Trade Unions, for increases in pay for 2026 is 4% - that is 2% for Pot 1 and 2% for Pot 2.
- All staff (who meet the eligibility criteria in the Pay Agreement Document) will receive the 2% ‘General’ Increase under Pot 1. All staff receiving a Performance Management Rating 3, will receive the full 2% ‘Performance’ Increase i.e. 4% in total.
- These increases will apply from 01.2026.
- For those staff who are above Grade Maximum, they will receive the Pot 1 General Increase on an enduring and pensionable basis. Pot 2 will be paid on a lump-sum, non-pensionable basis. The Bank will provide staff with the option to have this sum paid as an AVC directly from payroll in line with 2025.
- Introduction of a new grade – Grade A1.2 aligned to APA/QFA Pay Agreement Document.
- Lateral move policy – new percentages, 6% for foundational, 4% for Practitioner, 2% Expert/Leader aligned to Lateral/Promotional Information Document.
- Increased APA uplifts to €3000 and QFA to €1000 aligned to APA/QFA Pay Agreement Document.
Aligned to the reset on management of performance a commitment to engaging with the unions during 2026 on the variable pay scheme.

We are commencing our ballot on the proposals on the 19th November for two weeks closing on Wednesday 3rd December. The ballot is run by our third-party balloting partner, Mi-Voice, and votes are anonymous. You will receive your ballot paper electronically from them, please take the time necessary to complete the ballot.
The three unions involved in these negotiations are recommending acceptance of the proposals.
