Marriage Leave WRC Date, BOI 13/26 - BOI ROI & NI
13 March 2026
BOI 13/26
To: All FSU Members
Bank of Ireland Group – ROI and NI
The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has now confirmed 22 April as the date for conciliation on Marriage Leave.
As you know, Marriage Leave is a long-standing, negotiated benefit - secured by the FSU and protected under Union Agreements. Generations of union members fought hard to win and maintain this entitlement through decades of collective bargaining. It is NOT a discretionary perk that the Bank can simply remove on its own.
This dispute highlights something important: every union member is part of a legacy. Every pay rise, every working condition, and every benefit that exists in Bank of Ireland is the result of workers standing together.
Being a union member means being part of something bigger. It’s not just about improving your workplace today, but also about protecting hard-won entitlements for the generations who come after you.
If any of your colleagues are not union members yet, ask them to join at www.fsunion.org/fsu/join. If they put your name in the “recruited by” section on the form, you will receive a €50/£40 voucher as a thank you.
