Hybrid Update - Bank of Ireland Group BOI 24-25

12 August 2025

BOI 24/25

Our Sector Committee will be meeting the Bank on Thursday to continue our talks on hybrid. We will update members on Friday.

The union directive issued last Thursday is still in effect. You should continue with your current hybrid working arrangements until an agreement is reached with the union. This is likely to continue beyond 1 September.

It is very important that all union members follow this directive. This is about protecting your rights at work and protecting your right for the Union to negotiate your working conditions. Many members have already said they are committed to standing together on this issue. Let’s keep our unity strong.

Some individuals have been approached by management to comply or agree new Team Charters.  It is important that all FSU members maintain a united stance on this issue.  Do not agree to a new Team Charter. Management may suggest that others have already agreed to 8 days/month, but our understanding is that there is widespread compliance with our directive.

If you need advice, you can contact your Sector Committee Rep using the details below or contact our Advice Centre on freephone ROI 1800 81 91 91, NI 0800 358 0071, or email us at advice@fsunion.org with the subject line “BOI Hybrid”.

If any of your colleagues are not members of the union, they need to join now to give them more protection. They can join at www.fsunion.org/fsu/join.
