Arising from a PSNI legal case around overtime/allowances pay and the calculation of holiday pay in the UK we requested the Bank review its method of calculation and see if that process needed correction and if any backpay was due to affected colleagues.

We are pleased to inform you that the review did indeed identify a discrepancy with the application of changes to the working time regulations around overtime/allowances pay and the calculation of holiday pay.

This has now been corrected for the future and some colleagues, who the bank will contact individually, will be paid back pay owed to them.

However, our understanding of the backdated period for NI is that it is different to GB. We are currently taking legal advice on this matter and will confirm to NI members more detail in due course.
