EU Pay Transparency Directive Webinar - Why it's Needed & What the Delay Meant - All FSU Members
08 June 2026
To: All FSU Members
You may be aware that the EU Pay Transparency Directive was due to be transposed into Irish law yesterday, June 7th, 2026, but transposition has now been delayed due to a lack of Government support.
While this setback is deeply frustrating, it does not weaken the importance of the Directive or our fight for equal pay. If anything, it reinforces why we must stay informed, organised, and ready to push back.
That’s why the FSU Women’s Network is hosting a webinar to break down:
- What the Directive was designed to do.
- What the transposition delay actually means in practice for workers.
- What we can do now as a union, to keep up the pressure.
Webinar details:
Date: Wednesday, July 1st 2026

The delay is a political choice, not an inevitability. Together, we can make sure transparency and equal pay stay firmly on the agenda.
