A Strong Start to 2026 - All FSU Members

As we reach the halfway point of the year, we wanted to share some of the key achievements that FSU has secured for members so far in 2026. We also ask that you share this update with colleagues who are not yet members and encourage them to join the union.

 

FSU represents members across the banking, finance, and technology sectors. Through the collective strength of our membership, we have already achieved a number of significant gains this year, including:

 

  • A new Bank of Ireland Hybrid Working Agreement
  • The reinstatement of Bank of Ireland Marriage Leave
  • New hybrid working hubs in both BOI and AIB
  • Overtime and holiday pay recalculations in AIB, backdated to 2008
  • A three-year commitment of no branch closures in Ulster Bank
  • Commitments from ICE and Vianova that part-time workers will receive overtime once working beyond their contracted hours
  • An independent external appeals process for AIB hybrid working exceptions
  • A new profit share structure for PTSB members
  • Representation and support for individual FinTru members in the Talent Pool process
  • A new Skills Payment pilot in Danske Bank
  • Pay increases across our collectively bargained employments

 

These are just some of the positive outcomes FSU has delivered during the first six months of the year, benefiting tens of thousands of workers across our sectors.

 

We also know that there are still lots of issues out there that we need to work on, and we will.

 

Strength in Numbers

 

Every one of these achievements was made possible because workers stood together through their union. The stronger our membership, the stronger our voice at the negotiating table and the more we can achieve to protect jobs, improve working conditions, and secure better outcomes for all members.
