TUPE Proposals - XBP Europe

30 April 2025

We are pleased to announce we have reached a set of proposals in the TUPE negotiations that we can now put to you as members of the Union to vote on.

We sought to both protect your working conditions, as per the TUPE law, but also improve working conditions which we have done. If accepted, and post transfer, we will continue to work with ClearPay to improve your terms and conditions and experience of work. As I said in meetings, not everything will get sorted in one go but we are here for the long term.

Firstly, your contractual terms and conditions, as per your excel document, are protected and transferred. The Union holds a master copy of this document but given the complexity of 4 sets of conditions we can’t communicate to everyone, but you should have received your own relevant document during this process.

Secondly, we have secured the following improvements:

  • The starting salary will increase from €26,325 to €27,000.
  • All employees will receive a 2% Salary Increase.
  • The minimum Overtime rate will increase from Time x 1 to Time x 1.5.
  • ClearPay will develop an Annual Salary Review process. A policy will be developed 6 months post transfer.
  • The starting Annual Leave will increase from 22 days to 23 days.
  • Paid Marriage / Civil Partnership Leave will be introduced – 3 days.
  • ClearPay will set up an Employer Pension Scheme. Employees can contribute 3-6% of their gross annual salary and the employer will match contributions up to a maximum of 6%.
  • All employees will receive a One4All voucher to the value of €250, as a Welcome to ClearPay. This will be issued under Revenue’s Small Benefit Exemption and therefore will be exempt from tax / BIK.
  • ClearPay will develop a Performance and Reward Scheme. A policy will be developed post transfer. All current XBP bonus and commission schemes will cease upon transfer

If the ballot is passed the above will be implemented on transfer and then we will commence pay talks again 6 months post transfer with ClearPay and aim to get into a regular annual cycle of pay talks. We will also work with ClearPay to ensure a positive and transparent performance and bonus process for you.

The electronic ballot opens today at 2.00pm and you will receive an email from our balloting partners Mi-Voice. The ballot will close on Tuesday 6 May 2025 at 4pm. So please vote quickly.

If you have any questions, please talk to your Union Reps Kim Fitzsimons/Ashling Griffin or email FSU directly. I’d like to thank Kim Fitzsimons and Ashling Griffin for their work during these talks.
