Job Security Commitments - Kyndryl
16 July 2025
As briefed at yesterday’s meeting, please find attached letter of commitment from Kyndryl to FSU, and our members, on securing jobs and incomes for the future.
These commitments are important and have been hard won by you and your team. They provide assurances for the current term of the BOI contract, June 2026, but also include and cover all our members under John Chambers’ area of Kyndryl employees in Ireland.
In summary this letter provides:
- Protections for our members under CD/JC
- Protects existing terms, including redundancy, regardless of if you move work/role
- No more OOH changes for life of current BOI contract
- No more significant off-shoring for life of BOI contract
- Positive job-based approach to reducing those staff on the bench in place
These commitments are linked to the current contract with BOI which expires in June 2026. However, if that contract is extended we will immediately seek extension of these commitments in line with the extended end date of the current contract. We are likely to know this before the end of the year.
Unfortunately, the Company will not open a voluntary scheme, particularly for those on the bench. This is disappointing and we will continue to seek this where appropriate. However, we do believe that the above commitments are important and hard won, and members will now be asked to vote on them.
We will open a ballot to all members on Monday 21 July 2025 and close on Friday 25 July 2025.
You will receive an email from our balloting partner Mi-Voice with a unique voting code (UVC).
Please vote once you receive this.
By voting yes you will be voting to accept the attached letter and to cease current industrial action. By voting no you will be rejecting the commitments attached and your team will have to meet to decide potential next escalation steps which will involve you taking further action.
If you have any questions please contact me by replying to this email.
