Financial Services Union members in Kyndryl vote for industrial action

Limited industrial action, effective from Thursday 27 August say FSU

Financial Services Union (FSU)  members in Kyndryl have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action. In a dispute over redundancy terms the FSU has determined, arising from the ballot results,  that members will initially take limited industrial action, effective from Thursday 27 August.

Commenting Caitleen Desetti, Industrial Relations Organiser with the FSU, said:

“This is a dispute that could have been resolved weeks ago if Kyndryl management had honoured a preexisting  agreement around redundancy terms. Our members have been left with no other option apart from industrial action to protect their rights.

Initial industrial action will take place in 3 stages

  1. Commencing  on Thursday 27th August no member will participate in any planned out-of-hours work
  2. Starting Thursday 10 September, in addition to the above, all members will disengage from all existing projects and new request for service work.
  3. Starting Thursday 24 September, in addition to the above, no member will provide out-of-hours on-call support.

A decision will be made regarding further escalation if and when required. The FSU will continue to make ourselves available for talks and are willing to attend the WRC to help resolve the issue.”
