It’s never too early to think about new things for the new year and FSU members might well be interested in completing one of our Union Activist training courses scheduled for early 2019.

These courses have proved very popular with members in recent months and we have courses for all levels commencing in the new year.

  • Union Activist Level 1 will be taking place on Wednesday February 6, 2019 from 10am-4.45pm in FSU Dublin. This course is designed for all FSU members who want to develop their own knowledge and personal skills and become more active in their union. It is an introductory course, suitable for members or representatives with no prior FSU training.
  • Union Activist Level 2 will be taking place on Wednesday February 20, 2019, from 10am -4.45pm in FSU Dublin.  The course is designed for all FSU members and representatives who are familiar with trade union goals and FSU in particular. This is appropriate for all FSU members who have attended basic training previously. The course will cover areas such as dealing with collective issues in the workplace and will develop members’ campaigning, communicating and organising skills.
  • Union Activist Level 3 will be taking place on two dates: Wednesday January 23, 2019 & Wednesday February 13, 2019. The course is designed for all FSU representatives and activists who wish to develop their skills in winning for members in the workplace. The course will cover issues including representing the Union and dealing with queries in the workplace, campaigning skills and ensuring that workplace agreements work for members.
